Is this laptop dedicated for audio? Or is it an off the shelf system, say an HP, Acer, Lenovo, Dell etc. When you say it shuts off, I'm assuming you mean the interface, not the laptop right? How do you know it shuts off, does it emit a pop or some sort of noise? Also, do you hear pops or crackles when playing back a soft synth or a project? Sorry for all the questions, but they are necessary pieces of information to have before any troubleshooting is done or suggestions given.
