It is called something like mda jx10. I forget who made it, it was freeware and was very simple, but it does have a fat sound for that synth bass kind of thing.

I must ask you a question  about the old demo of sonar 2.2. what softsynth
did you use to get the bass part that you were playing? I want to get a hold 
of that one.
