Hi,

There shouldn't be an issue with straight HTML files (as per the HSC
documentation). Windows .chm help files are definitely a problem if you try
to use one located on a network share (you can't). Microsoft have this as
a acknowledged bug.

Best wishes.

I'll have to check it out, but I think it has to do with location of the
files.

George.

Hi George!

all of the HotSpotClicker files are just .html. Do you think there could be
a issue with them too?

        Hi Phil,

I seem to recall there is a security issue with .CHM files and XP
anyway. This is certainly tru of such files stored on a server.

        George.

Phil replied: well, you may wish to try the following procedure.
Note: in order to do this, you may need to have your Windows XP CD handy.
Go to control panel, add/remove programmes and tab over to the toolbar that
says toolbar change/remove programmes. Arrow down until you hear Jaws say
add/remove Windows components button and press the spacebar on that option.
This will drop you into the Windows Components Wizard. Go down the list and
find Internet Explorer and check the box. Then, click next. then, when
Windows tells you to, click finish. That will remove Internet Explorer.
You will know if that has happened as you won't find it or any shortcuts to
it any more. Then, go back into the wizard and run it again. That will
reinstall IE. If you can't find IE in the list, let me know and I will post
detail of a Windows system file that needs to be edited as Windows hides
some components by default.

Omar. are all of your other .html documents reading
correctly?

and hotspot document

                                Hello,

I'm using jaws 7.1 with internet explorer 7.
When I try and go to the main documentation from the hotspot clicker, jaws
seems to go dum. It simply won't read it.

                                Any thoughts or suggestions?

                                Thanks.
