[ddots-l] Re: giving up on bfd, need new drum software

Well, the idea behind BFD was that it came with over 50gb of drum samples,
and you could process each drum on its own track the way you'd work a
regular acoustic kit. So, I don't know if a drum module would work.

OK, folks.

I am giving up on BFD 2 as an option, after spending hundreds of dollars to
find it is just going to take too much sighted help to get this to be
functional at all.

I need to find a soft synth that does the best realistic drums I can find
and is accessible. I want to be able to process each drum in a kit on its
own track in sonar. I want to be able to load different kits depending on
the my project, some for metal work, some for regular rock, and some for
pop. I need a wide variety of drum sounds. Electronic kits are a plus, but
not mandatory and would probably be limited to 80s sounding kits like
simmons, oberheim kits and the like. Does anybody have suggestions? I am
tired of ripping my hair out to get drum sounds. And it is not always
feasible to hire a drummer, so let's not go there.
