Neville, what system are you using?
For Windows, to change the file extension options:
1. Open a Folder, any folder
2. Type ALT, V, O for "Folder Options"
3. Select the tab "View"
4. Uncheck the box: "Hide file extension for known file types."
5. Then type ALT+L ("Like Current Folder") and click "Yes" on the box that
pops up.
Then next time you open a folder, the changes will be made.
I hope this helps.

Subject: [ddots-l] file extensions
I did a system restore yesterday and now my file extensions are not listed.
Can someone tell me how to turn this feature back on again? I want to hear
the type of file I'm clicking on.
God bless you!
