Brian: I tried a adapter plug (3 to 2) and I don't have the hum anymore----- Original Message ----- From: "Bryan Smart" <bryansmart@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

A lot of audio interfaces have this hum when they run off of USB power. As you say, this does not happen when the laptop is running off of the battery. If your interface has its own power cable, then you should use that instead of running off of the laptop's power. In many cases, this will get rid of the hum. Hi: When I plug the usb fast track delta card into a laptop on stage, there's a terrible hum when I use ac power. The battery stops it. Do any ofyou have this same problem with the usb cards? Should a pci work better? John Fioravanti PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
