Jim,

You have two of the steps reversed. You should first select the time you want 
deleted, then press the control enter function, then press delete.

  Firstly I have the track unarmed and input echo is off. 
  Next I select the track with ctrl & enter.
  I then hit shft + f9 for the select by time dialogue.
  I enter my from and through times in the relevant fields.
  I hit enter once I have entered the through time.
  I then hit mid section delete.

      Hi List,

      I'm trying to edit a few bits of extranious stuff fromt he beginning and 
end 
      of my drum track.  No matter what I do, I can't seem to delete the 
selected 
      portions of the track.
      I've read the relevant section of the CakeTalking manual, but it still 
      doesn't work.
      I'm using Soanr 6 PE with the relevant CT release.
