You would insert a controller 64 event with a value of 0 where you want it to
cut off. Frankly, I usually go into sound on sound mode and record it in
realtime.

Subject: [ddots-l] editing a sustain controler
Hi,
How can I edit the amount of a sustain controler when recording midi? I
know it can't be done in the event view. So if I want the controler to stop at
a certain beat within a measure, how would I do that?
Thanks.
