Hi,
Controllers stay at the value you've set until you send another controller
message with the same number but a different value. For example, if you've
sent a CC73 with a value of 20, that value will persist until you send
another CC73 with a value other than 20 - it's a change-based system.
In Sonar terms, you need to insert a new controller event with the value you
want to change to and with its time parameter set to when you want the
change to happen.
BTW, I haven't forgotten that I need to do some more work on the instrument
definition article on my web site, but I'm pushed for time at the moment.
Best wishes.

Subject: [ddots-l] duration on controler events
Hi,
Is there a way to change the duration on a midi controler event like a
sustain? I tried doing it in the event view but it says that the duration
column is not used by controlers.
Thanks.
