[ddots-l] Re: cake-talking and laptop

I just ordered a Logitech wireless num pad so I can carry it with me. Am I
going to regret that? <grin>

Hello:

You really should get an external usb keyboard to use with your laptop so
that you will have a num pad.

Hi, guys. I'm just learning ct with Sonar 7. I'm using a laptop with no
num pad.not even sure where the insert key is. And since I had to change my
lay-out to desktop, I'm not exactly sure what to do here with many of the
commands that call for numbers. Also, what does "mid-section" mean in a
command.insert plus midsection, plus down arrow-ofor example.

Thanks.

Is your insertion cursor at bar 8 when you import? If it is, and you still
have the problem, import it to an empty track and then cut and paste it to
bar 8.

Subject: [ddots-l] Importing Midi Files

Hi all

I'm using EZDrummer with Sonar 7.

I'm trying to build up a drum pattern with varying patterns and fills but am
having a problem.

Here's the steps I'm taking...

1. Set from and through times to cover one bar.

2. Import an EXdrummer midi file.

3. Copy the one bar midi file so it lasts 7 bars.

All works fine up to this point.

4. reset from and through times to cover bar 8.

5. Import a EXdrummer fill midi file.

What is happening is that the fill in midi file is being overlaid at bar one
on top of the standard pattern.

I want the file to be place at the end of the current track.

How do I get Sonar 7 to do this?

Many thanks.

Cheers

Darren
