[ddots-l] Re: applying fx on a track

MessageYes, richard, that is normal. In order to use effects like reverb and
delay/chorus effectively, you need to insert them into busses in the bus pane
and then assign sends on the tracks to them. Unfortunately, this seems to be
the nemesis for a lot of folks, because not only does it involve learning the
mechanics of doing this in Sonar, it also requires an understanding of how
signal flow works in a real mixing console. When you set up the busses and
sends in a sonar project, you are in effect designing your own mixing console
to fit your specific needs for that project, which is the real beauty of the
digital recording environment.

on the send level of the effect?track

The best method is to assign things like reverb to an aux bus. that way
you can assign it differently to different tracks with a minimum of CPU usage.

      Hi

I want to apply a reverb and a chorus on a track.

I want control on each fx.

What should I insert on the audio track and on a bus. Should I put my
chorus on a bus and the reverb on another.

Should I put my fxs on the particular track.

      What's the best method?

      Thanks
