You mean just doing an uninstall on norton doesn't remove it entirely from your 
system?

  Symantec is Norton. If you've already got it on your computer, no need to 
remove it now, you'll have to reload the OS to do that. (There is a Norton 
Removal Tool, but sometimes it doesn't work.) I've found Kaspersky to be 
reliable and maintenance free. -Andy

      Yes.  Norton is way too heavy on system resources.  Go with AVG instead.

        I've heard that Norton Antivirus is especially not recommended on daw 
systems. Is there a reason for this, or is it because of norton conflicting
