[ddots-l] Re: anti-virus and daws

Here at the Mab-mackay the rehab centre where I work at, we issue RAMQ systems
to clients who need computer systems for school, and work, and we automacially
install AVG as its recognized by our government as a good antivirus software.
What the hell else can you except for a free software.
I clients wish to pay for their antivirus software, then they can purchase the
higer end version of AVG, or I recomend Windows live one Care, which I have
been using for about two years, and works fine under Jaws1 10, and lower, and
Under Windows Vista, and Sonar 7, 8.
The nice thing about Windows Live one care is that since it is a microsoft
product, it actually works very well with the microsoft products. But once
again AVg is definatly a good piece of software.

    Omar

I have been using AVG8 since it came out, and I have never experienced
problems with jaws crashing. AVG8 is a great piece of software and is highly
recommended by me.

    Phil,

I hear AVG 8 sometimes causes jaws to crash. Have you experienced this with
it?

Yes. Norton is way too heavy on system resources. Go with AVG instead.

        Hello,

I've heard that Norton Antivirus is especially not recommended on daw
systems. Is there a reason for this, or is it because of norton conflicting
with jaws?

        Thanks
