[ddots-l] Re: anti-virus and daws

I use both IE7 and FireFox 3.

IE7 wrenders certain things better than Firefox in terms of accessibility, but Firefox is way way faster and getting much better in terms of access.

Cheers
Darren

Norton is what we call "Elephant Ware". Like Internet Explorer, it's too
slow and too big and doesn't work well anyway. Go with AVG or Kaspersky.

    Omar

I have been using AVG8 since it came out, and I have never experienced problems with jaws crashing. AVG8 is a great piece of software and is highly
recommended by me.

    Phil,

I hear AVG 8 sometimes causes jaws to crash. Have you experienced this
with it?

Yes. Norton is way too heavy on system resources. Go with AVG
instead.

        Hello,

I've heard that Norton Antivirus is especially not recommended on
daw systems. Is there a reason for this, or is it because of norton
conflicting with jaws?

        Thanks
