[ddots-l] Re: accessible software synths with Cake talking and free/purchaseable dimension pro expansion packs?

No,

It's a Native Instruments product.

Best wishes.

Does pro 53 come with Sonar 7?

I can speak for the z3 and pro53, which do work. THey will respond
to program change from Sonar, and they expose many parameters in the synth
rack or track inspector for tweaking.

Jay, very few softsynths support patch
change messages, so they won't work with the patch selection comboboxes in
the track properties dialog. This is the way that things are going. Future
synths will probably not support patch change at all. Even some newer
versions of older synths (like the FM8) don't support it.

In the future, you need to either buy synths
that are specifically compatible with CakeTalking, or else have support
through Hot Spot Clicker.

                                Hi
Thanks for letting me know. Are there any
other accessible software synths out there that will show patches in the
sonar track properties dialog? For example maybe something like steinberg
hypersonic 2 or some of the older edirol ones?
                                Thanks

I have purchased these and they work great.

                                Hello all-

I may upgrade to sonar 7 soon and am really
interested in taking advantage of the dimension pro support. I'm using
sonar 5 currently.

I'm just wondering, has anyone tried using
the 2 free expansions as well as the the current ones that can be bought,
digital sound factory volume 1 and the E-MU Proteus Packs? Are they useable
with cake talking, especially the emu modules?

Also, are there any other accessible
software synthesisers out there that will show patches/banks in sonars track
properties dialog?

                                Thanks and regards

                                Jay
