No that's not true! I don't know who told you that, but it works just great with JAWS. Most likely the person that told you that doesn't have an 1884 or just doesn't know what their doing. Herman Fermin uses the 1884 as well. If Herman can use it... then anyone can! He-he!

sorry if I mislead you into thinking that you shouldn't purchase the FW-1884. I have recommended the unit to several people and they are extremely happy with it quality.

Frank, it is a great solid unit. All of the things that you can do absolutely outweigh the things you can't do with it yet until they update the drivers. For example, right now you cannot arm for automation directly from the unit itself. But you can arm for automation from your PC keyboard though. Then you can do all of your automation with the unit. Also if memory serves correctly, you can't get to the send volume controls directly from the unit. But again, these are things that you have easy access with your PC keyboard.

oh my goodness, does that mean it won't work with sonar 6 and cake talking at all or will it at least do what it does with previous versions of sonar until they come out with the driver? thanks for that number by the way it sounds like a great control surface from what I've read are you happy with it other then your driver problem? it may be worth my while to wait for the driver even still?
