I hope that he did a better job translating the manual from the pdf than I did. 
 The columns came out all jumbled.

  Got my Zoom H4N yesterday and I must say that it's very accessible indeed.  
There's a manual that Tom Kingston has written for it.  you will find that over 
on:

  It's in the manuals folder, along with the Zoom H4N's manual in text format.
