That was it! I needed to have the properties and synth rack options checked to be displayed for the F4 key to work an subsequently for the wav file to be able to load into the VST SFZ.

Well I guess in there sfz has been made accessible.  Make sure when u open
sfz it is in it's own window; insert it by going to inser soft synth or dxi instrument, whatever it's called now, and then go to sfz then make sure that midi track, first audio output and property page are checked, along with ask 
this everytime.  Then try pressing f4 from that window, or then try using
the jaws cursor and going to those coordinates...

Are you using sfz with caketalking? If not you have to go to coordinates
196, 113 or somewhere around there and click and the file open dialog will open. There u can load sfz files as well as wave/ogg/whatever other files 
it supports...

Hi,
I've inserted a VST SFZ track. Within the properties menu of this track I press F4 but nothing happens. I aam trying to load a wav sample. No menu 
appears when pressing F4.

When simply on the track F4 it brings up the "track pane options
dialogue".
From this list the first option is "open a list of control surfaces...".
The only option within this combo box is "Sonar JAWS surface".

Am I missing something here?
I am using Sonar PE5 with CT 5.3.

Do I need to use the VST configuration wizard?

I'm at a loss and any help would be greatly appreciated.
