Subject: [ddots-l] Urgent. A problem when freezing softsynths
Ok folks. This has been driving me nuts. I have had this happen on 2 machines
running sonar 7.0.2, and this has happened with almost every softsynth I've
used. The deal is that sometimes when I record some midi data and do a bunch of
pastes, parts of my pastes disappear when the track is frozen into audio. And
when I mean disappear, I mean that not only are there gaps in the audio, but
there are gaps in the midi data as well. Both midi and audio data gone. When
the midi track is constructed, the softsynth plays fine. The track gets frozen
and anywhere where there is a paste, part of that phrase is missing. When the
track is subsequently unfrozen, the midi data is actually missing at those same
spots. What are my soft synths doing to my midi tracks? How can this happen?
Spoke to Bryan smart and he said that it was impossible, but It's happening,
and it's holding me back from the work I need to do. Please help.
