Have you tried going into the hear dialog to see if you can play your score? It is possible that the midi synth on your SB card may be muted or turned down too low to be heard. Go into the windows volume control and check to see that the midi synth is not muted and that it's volume is up. You'll probably want it up as high as it can go because the midi playback on those cards does tend to be very low in proportion to the other audio on the card. You certainly can remove your lime 7.25 if you want, you will never use it again if you have lime 8, which is a significant upgrade. Uninstalling lime will never remove any of your work files, which are in your shared documents folder.

Hi Bill,

I have Lime v8.47 installed on my laptop and my
desktop. Everything is working perfectly on my laptop,
however I have an unusual audio problem with the
installation on my desktop. After a musical score is
created, I can select/browse through the notes using
the right and left arrow keys. As I am using the
arrows keys to browse through the notes, I should be
able to hear the notes played through the computer's
speakers. Everything else concerning audio playback is
working fine on my desktop.

The sound card on my desktop is an SB Audigy Audio
B400. I am thinking there might be a possible conflict
with this card. Are you aware of any problems with
this sound card? Other specifications are as follows:
OS - Windows XP Professional Edition, Pentium 4 CPU
2.39GHz, 512Mb of RAM.

I also have Lime v7.25 installed on both of my
computers. I was thinking there may be a conflict with
the two versions installed, but my laptop has both of
the versions and it is working perfectly. I have tried
re-installing Lime v.8.47. I was thinking about
un-installing both versions and doing a clean install.
I didn't want to try uninstalling both of the versions
for fear of loosing files I may not be able to get
back.

Any help with this problem would be greatly
appreciated.
