Well It seems that Kevin is right.
When you clone that kind of track it only double the first synth.
It doesn't create another separate synth.

What you do is to save botht he MIDI and audio tracks of the soft synth pair
without any music in them.

Save the first one as a track template with your effects in place. Then
add the track template as a new thing in the same project.
