Hi
I'm new to Sonar and at present I can only output toan Alesis Multimix USB2
which works well enough.
I wish to take Sonar on my laptop when I go on holiday and as far as I can see
it does not like the Sigmatel soundcard for output. As it's only for a
temporary period I'm not too desperate to buy an portable external soundcard
(although suggestions would be welcome for a later purchase - small digital and
versatile), but for present I only wish to edit some files in Sonar and only
need to hear the output clearly, perhaps by headphones.
I have usb headphones, but Sonar doesn't like these as an output. I also have a
Zoom H4 but as it's new as well I cannot seem to get it to be recognised - with
no sighted help at present I can't get the settings right, although I believe
it should work.
I would value your suggestions on:
1. How to get the H4 working if it can be used as a monitoring device.
2. If there are stereo headphones which will act as a monitor to what I'm doing
in Sonar, or
3. A reasonable output device which will allow monitoring e.g. a soundcard with
headphone facility. (As I said earlier it may be necessary in future to get a
portable one with ins and outs, I would be interested in small reliable ones.)
Thanks.
