[ddots-l] Re: Sonar-Picture cache in cakewalk projects folder

Hi,

A while ago I posed this question (or something close to it) to
12ToneSystems (Cakewalk) support. Basically, they said you can go ahead
and delete those files, but anytime you open a file and work with it,
the files you deleted will be recreated.

Perhaps things have changed since then, but, that's what they said then.

Subject: [ddots-l] Sonar-Picture cache in cakewalk projects folder

hello list,

This folder can grow quite large, and doesn't seem to get "cleaned" when

clearing out old audio files with the clean audio tool in Sonar.

Question: can sonar's activity in the picture cache be minimized or even

eliminated? As I understand things, the picture cache folder is for
storing
graphical images of audio clips that sonar displays in the clips
pane-although the actual files themselves have .wav extensions-wierd.

Any and all responses welcome
