You can't get rid of the picture cashe folder. However, you can empty it.

Subject: [ddots-l] Sonar-Picture cache in cakewalk projects folder
hello list,
This folder can grow quite large, and doesn't seem to get "cleaned" when
clearing out old audio files with the clean audio tool in Sonar.
Question: can sonar's activity in the picture cache be minimized or even
eliminated? As I understand things, the picture cache folder is for storing
graphical images of audio clips that sonar displays in the clips
pane-although the actual files themselves have .wav extensions-wierd.
Any and all responses welcome
