You certainly can uninstall earlier version of SOnar if you want to.  They will 
coexist with Sonar 4.  You need jaws 5.1, 6, or 6.1.

  Hello all, I've just received my Caketalking 4 and my Sonar 4 producer and I 
have some questions about installation.  First of all, which version of JAWS do 
I need to use?  Also, do I uninstall the previous version of Caketalking 3.1 
and Sonar 2.2?  Does it matter, because I'm thinking that if I'm not using them 
that they're taking up space on the hard drive that I can free up for something 
else.  Thanks
