Aah, so it wouldn't matter then that I had used the "apply Trimming" command
before bouncing to clips, even though this particular step may not always be
necessary. Mind you can think of instances where it could be. E.G, comping a
vocal which, I do here occasionally. As George posted "Using the Edit-Apply
Trimming command permanently deletes any data from a selected clip that is
hidden by a slip editing edit." New there was a reason I was doing this. Just
couldn't remember exactly why, smile. Thanks for posting that George!

when you bounce to clips a trimmed single clip is created. when using apply
trimming then all the multiple clips are trimmed separately.
any way this clip concept is no good for us.

Waw! Your right! You learn something new every day. Hmm, wonder what
"apply Trimming" is for then?

I differ on this one Phil. when you use the bounce to clips you don't
need to apply trimming.
Phil replied: you don't but, if you don't use the "apply trimming"
command then although you will end up with a single clip, the clip will still
be large because all of your edits will still be contained within the clip,
even though you can't hear them any more.
Luis wrote: and if you bounce to clips even after applying trimming the
result will always be a single clip.
Phil replied: indeed and because you have used the "apply Trimming"
command, the single clip per track will be smaller.

It will however, remember to use the "apply Trimming" command in
the edit menu before bouncing to clips. Other wise you won't have cut down the
original length of the wave files. In other words, the original edits will
still be there but, you won't be able to hear them.
