Hey Nickus!

Thanx for the advice...

I don't use any soft synths, so its probably best staying with 8.3!

I'm still using JAWS v8 on this DAW, although I do have JAWS 13, I know my current set-up worx great so I'll stay with it!

Thanx again!

Mike

I updated to 8.5 the other day and personally I prefer 8.3 it's as if
some stuff just doesn't happen smoothly anymore, not in terms of sound
or instrument quality but in terms of working with sonar. it could
also maybe be because I now also have jaws 13 but I'm not sure. I
don't know if it's possible to go back down to 8.3 but if it's
possible I'm going back down. I would say try it maybe it's just my
imagination and if you use a lot of soft synths 8.5 would be better in
terms of quality but if you mostly only use audio like I do, then I
don't see any point in 8.5 if you have 8.3. Oh one more thing if you
update, make sure you update to 8.5.3 the latest version otherwise
things like the track inspector won't work.

Please could someone tell me if there's any genuine advantage of updating my
DAW from Sonar v8.3 to v8.5?

I've had v8.5 for over a year, but v8.3 worx so well for me so I'm reluctant
to update...

Thanx for any assist...
