aah. Most of that space will be taken up by the Dimension Pro content
which, you could install on a separate drive.

Hi folks
Is it true that Sonar 8 takes up a huge 30gb of disc space?
It wouldn't even fit on my C drive if that's the case.
Cheers
Darren

Yes, there is a very noticable improvement in overall performance with
s8. Also, the ability to enable or disable drivers without having to restart
is great. I've been using wdm on my laptop with the motu 828 and it works
great. The advantage of using wdm is that if you want to quickly increase
latency when mixing down it is much easier.

CPU usage has to be down as I am running with half of the latency
that I did in Sonar 7.

Hello Phil, have you noticed less CPU usage, as they claim, or is
it still about the same?

Hi all!
Been playing around in Sonar 8 and I must say that it rocks for
audio! Being able to see real world values in .VST plug-ins in the track
inspector is fantastic. I can now change the routing in the V-64 and see
exactly what I am doing! Plus, I have been able to half my audio latency from
5.8MS to 2.9MS, using the WDM drivers on the Tascam FW1884. They really must
have recoded Sonar a lot, as I can't run with such low latency in any other
version of Sonar but 8. This is all on a core duo 2.13 with Windows XP SP 3.
