[ddots-l] Softsynths losing sound

Hello, 

I'm using a quad-core system with windows xp home, 4 gigs of ram, Sonar 6 
Producer, and the Edirol FA-66 for my audio converter. After loading some 
softsynths
into sonar, I will sometimes lose sound from them while in the middle of 
playing. The sound will just disappear. I'll deactivate and reactivate the audio
engine within Sonar, but that doesn't restore the sound from the synths. I end 
up having to close the project and reopening it to get the synthss sound
back. If I have more than one different softsynth loaded into a project, the 
sound disappears with all of them. I'm wondering if my FA-66 has problems
with a quad-core system. Pure speculation, of course. 

Any thoughts?
