Actually, when they told me I'd have to wear a neck tie, I didn't even bother filling out the application.

So... You are a Jaws tech, huh?

Thanks Sandy for verifying this, I knew it was either the alphabetical order or the install order--couldn't remember so I did what I always do and bluff;-)

I don't know guys, all I know is its necessary on my system. And, evidently there are enough people experiencing the same problem for FreedomScientific to have developed an alternate Elloquence driver to handle the problem (which is now outdated and unnecessary), and to keep a bulletin on the subject in their FAQ section.

Besides, you can trust me--I'm really not like the others ( wink, sigh, nudge)

In some cases it is not necessary. It may be that Phil is correct about the alphabetical thing. But what I was told is, it depends on the order of installation of the cards. With Jaws technicians you don't know who is correct. I've dealt with some fantastic techs, and I've dealt with some who couldn't find their way out of a paper bag. What you do is, pray before you call tech support, and you ask for favor. (Smile!)

Hey Phil!

Is this really necessary?

I have a Delta Audiophile exclusively for JAWS, and I didn't have to make
any of these settings, and it worx fine!

Not criticising, I'm just interested?

Cheers

Mike
