Phil replied: don't tend to use scrubbing much here. Use control space instead.

Hi Phil,A little progress but not a breakthrough. I took the extra lines out of the Cakewalk.ini file, and now, for the first time, I have a sort of scrubbing, but it's so sluggish as to be completely unusable. Is there any documentation relating to the values to put in those lines and what they relate to?Apart from that, the shuttle button appears to toggle between two modes, one in which it only jogs forward rather than scrubbing, and the shift-key has no effect.I'd still really like to know whether anybody has this working to the point where you could accurately move to a given point for selection and such. This is with the latest FW firmware and a reasonably fast quad PC. Any further thoughts welcome. Best, Peter At 08:55 PM 4/2/2009, you wrote:Hmm, have you tried altering the speed of scrubbing with the shuttle button? That affects how fine the control is. Also, after altering the shuttle control, have you tried holding down the shift key when spinning the wheel?Regards, Phil Muir P J Muir Productions, Music And Audio Production Telephone: US (615) 713-2021 UK+44-1747-821-794 Mobile: UK +44-7968-136-246 E-mail: info@xxxxxxxxxxxx URL: www.philmuir.com/----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Bosher" <peterbosher@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, April 02, 2009 2:35 PM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: Scrubbing with the FW1884Thanks Phil, but I had tried that. What happens is that if I move the jog-wheel clockwise it plays at normal speed, and anti-clockwise puts it into reverse, but it won't scrub properly, by which I mean simulating very slow movement of tape-spools, like the num-pad keys do in Caketalking. Can you confirm that you can achieve that type of scrubbing?Best, Peter At 03:42 PM 4/1/2009, you wrote:Peter, in order to do this, you will need to go into the clips pane with CT and lock the mouse.
