Mike,
Yes you were. Well, that was pretty straightforward, but I just meant in general those lessons on the clips pane were a little confusing to me. Sometimes with stuff like that, I do better getting taught by someone tutoring me on things like that. Those lessons are the only thing in the tutorial that I have had a hard time understanding... Thanks so much for your help, and you get in the clips pane how again? I thought I remembered but it is escaping me now... Thanks again Mike!
Brian

Hi Brian,

Hmm, that tutorial's pretty straight forward; however, here it is in a nutshell.

Basically what you do is get to the area you're working on. Go into the clips pane, press F-6 to put the mouse cursor at the Now Time. Then you'll most likely have to zoom the pane in so you're not scrubbing too much at once; do this by using numpad 2 to zoom in or numpad 8 to zoom out. Then simply use your JAWS Key + Numpad 1 and 3 to go backward or forward in small increments, or JAWS key + numpad 4 and 6 to scrub in larger increments. I don't remember if numpad 7 and 9 are configured to scrub even larger. When I'm scrubbing, I'm generally moving in very small increments.

Hope this helps, but you're going to want to read the tutorials. I generally find them very helpful to me as there's so darn much to remember with this stuff. Sometimes I'll be going along, and I'll forget about how to do something. Rather than take a chance of messing things up, I reread a particular lesson. Yeah you can undo your edits and so forth, but frustration can become your worst enemy when you're trying to maintain your creativity. Of course, you have this list and other sources to get help on as well.

Hope I was of help to you.

Mike

Hello Mike,
I have the CakeTalking with the updates. Could you explain to me how to scrub with the keyboard? I have never really done any editing in the clips pane, and I have tryed reading the tutorial on the clips pane and it is confusing to me. Thanks,
Brian
