I don't know what to tell you nicholas--for scrubbing audio, I use a Tranzport 
control surface.  Scrubbing with the numpad keys in Sonar is a little cheesy at 
best.  Although, it does work in a pinch, and should work for you.  If its 
really an intractable  problem for you, you may have to contact tech support.

I assume you've read the CT tutorial on scrubbing audio?
