Chi,
When you tried to scrub, did you zoom in as far as possible?
That might give you the kind of scrubbing quality you want. I know that
Sonar's scrubbing isn't the best. But.... I did see a real nice remote
control device at the last NAMM show done by Frontier Design. I asked
them if they could get ti to scrub in Sonar. They said they were
working on it. It they manage it, that will be great.

I know nowadays all the productions are just collection of composite
tracks.
Also, sonar 4 has specific function to deal with comp tracks. If
scrubbing
is not that easy, it'd be very hard to make a comp track.
Also, people use that a lot to align the audio to the grid. Is there
any
way for us to do that?
It's sad that we take live performance and kind of destroy the feelings,
but
perfection in pitch and time is what the audience wants nowadays. We
abuse
autotune and composite tracks to make it perfect.
A professor demonstrated to a class how autotune works, and I couldn't
really notice the editing if it was done right with graphical mode, not
the
auto mode. In graphical mode, you can adjust each notes and how they're
aproached. It's just amazing. Especially if the singer sings with full
sounding production music, you can't tell at all whether it's autotuned
or
not. It's like magic.
Anyways, it'd be cool for caketalking to come up with the function for
better scrubbing in later version.
Lastly, how well does caketalking deals with composite function for
sonar 4?

The best way would be to grab a section of the vocal from somewhere
else.
Or, perhaps load up the
file into Sound Forge and edit it there. Even if the scrubbing was
better
in Sonar, I wouldn't
personally use the scrub feature to try and cut and paste a syllable .
It's
way too fiddly. I
suspect it would even be way too fiddly to do that in Sound Forge to.
