Sad news indeed. May God's blessings be on his friends and family.

Subject: [ddots-l] Sad news to report

Hello all,
I just found out some very sad news that I wanted to report to the list. I
just got an email that Doug Daniels who started posting on this list about a
year or so ago passed away. I got to know him soon after he started posting
to the list. He was such a genuine person. As a matter of fact, Steve
Jeffrey who is another CakeTalking user and a member of this list and I had
the privilege of answering some of Doug's questions when he was first
learning CakeTalking, but not only did we get to impart knowledge to him,
but he also imparted quite a bit of knowledge to us on a Saturday afternoon
on the phone with him. We must have talked to him for a couple of hours.
That was one of my fondest memories of talking with Doug. In the beginning,
we were trying to help him, but in the end, he ended up helping us with his
knowledge. For you see, for many years, Doug worked as a folk recording and
mixing engineer in the analog world. He knew his stuff on an analog board.
He was just trying to transfer his knowledge of an analog board in to
digital with Sonar and CakeTalking and that is what Steve and I had the
privilege of helping him do on several occasions. I hadn't seen Doug on
this list for a long time, and I got an email from him several months ago
that he must have sent out to everyone in his address book letting us know
that he had been very sick with I believe Colon cancer. I didn't hear
anymore from Doug until I got an email from someone today who must have
gotten on his computer and gotten whoever was in his address book and sent
us all an email telling of his passing. I wanted to let everyone know on
this list who may have had some contact with Doug on the list. My thoughts
and prayers are with the Daniels family and I would urge you all to keep his
family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you,
