Hi, All,
Here's an excerpt from a message I recently sent to a customer who was
trying to install CakeTalking for SONAR 4 without success on his new PC that
has JAWS 7.1. I hope this information will be of use to some of you.
...
It is possible to install CakeTalking for SONAR 4 under JAWS 7 although we
do not officially support it's use. If you install under 7.0 or 7.1 and
find that it does not perform as it should, you must install JAWS 6.1 or 6.0
on your machine. We did not test CT for SONAR 4 with JAWS 6.2.
It is possible to install multiple versions of JAWS on your machine. Then
you can use JAWS 6 when you need to work in SONAR and 7 at other times.
Select the Options button on the Welcome screen of the CT installation
program. Check the option to install the scripts in unsupported versions of
JAWS and then continue the installation in the normal way.
Regards,
Bill
