No! Sorry didn't clarify, but I did them separately, first 1, and then 2.

  Hey Jim!

You'll only be able to monitor one track's input level/peak meter reading at
a time.

So, you'll have to arm each track separately and take an input level reading,
then switch to the other...

Of course, you'll be able to record the 2 trax simultaneously!

I think this could be the prob?

  Mike

Hello all, I'm attempting to record vocals, I have things set up as
follows, vocal mic 1, audio track 1 and input set to left-acio fw-1884analog1
the cable from the mic is plugged in to the far left slr slot on the back of
the tascam as I face the front of the unit. No prob with this one, I can both
hear the audio and can monitor the peak levels.
The second audio track is vocal mic 2, Input set to left acio
fw-1884analog3, the cable from the mic is plugged in to the next slr slot. I
can hear the audio from the mic but the peak meters are not changing, I go in
to record and get nothing. BTW, on both tracks the output is set to master.
    What am I doing?
    Jimmy
