[ddots-l] Quoting and Quoting Again

Lately we list administrators have been receiving dozens of messages from
the freelists software warning that particular posts cannot be sent to our
list because they exceed the 20K size limit. I have re-posted a few but we
can't continue to repeatedly do so for dozens of posts.
Generally, members don't tend to compose really long messages but many
people neglect to remove extensive quotes of responses from other members
for that particular conversation. So, if you have not seen your own
response posted lately, that is the reason why. It's a good practice to
remove extensive quoting especially for the benefit of members who receive a
daily digest of list messages. If a thread has quotes of more than 1 or 2
previous messages, just remove all but the last 1 or 2 if not all of them
before you send your reply to the list and your post will not get bounced.
