Yes I know that, but when you do the same thing on a midi track, it does not say what has been inserted into the effects in Sonar 4. What I am asking is, can I see what is inserted both audio and midi tracks in Sonar 5 or 6.

Thanks

If it's inserted on an audio track, then you will only see it on the audio track.

when you are on a audio track in Sonar 4you can go to inserted effects and pres the application key and insert an effect such as reverb or delay. next to the inserted effects it shows what is the effects you insert into that track. But it does not show it on a midi track. It just says on midi tracks, Sonar can not announce the inserted effects. I was just wondering how it works in Sonar 5 or 6. Can I see the inserted effects on a midi track in Sonar 5 or 6? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Omar Binno" <omarbinno@xxxxxxxxx>

SFZ wasn't accessible until sonar 5.

Samples are sounds which you may have recorded yourself, or which you may purchase from third party companies, or download free from the net. They're audio files, but you can use them in midi. If you use sonar 5 or 6, you can access the sfz soft synth, which will let you play samples. That's just a short end response to your question. Hope that helps.

Hi guys!

I'm not sure I understand the concept of samples. Is it like using a soft synth, playing the sounds through your midi keyboard, except that you're inserting individual sounds? Can you use it in midi, or is it all audio?
