----- Original Message ----- Sent: Wednesday, April 30, 2008 10:42 PM Subject: Problemas with Sonar and CakeTalking. Which version to use Hi! My name is Renato Espada and I'm writing from Portugal. I'd be very grateful to someone who can help me solve my problems with Sonar. I have tried to create some projects with Sonar 4.0 using CakeTalking Sonar, version 4.0.3.7 together with Jaws 6.20 or 7.10 on a Pentium with 1,512 Gb memory and an Audigy LS (creative) sound card or the external sound interface Edirol UA-25. However all my efforts have been frustrating, either due to uncontrollable latency or apparent low memory to record when trying to create several tracks or even when trying to play a tune a couple of times. Hoping to be able to solve these problems I've recently acquired a new PC, an HP Pavilion Elite M.9180 with 4 Gbs memory, built-in creative sound card and Windows Vista. I'd very much like to use my Edirol UA-25 Sound interface too in future, but first I need to be sure about the software versions I'll have to use to get Sonar going under Windows Vista. Which versions of Caketalking, Sonar and Jaws should I use to have more satisfactory results. Thanking you in advance for any help, Yours, Renato Espada
