aah Bryan. Just for you, grin. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282747 SYMPTOMS When you attempt to run Regsvr32.exe to register a 32-bit dynamic-link library (DLL) on a 64-bit version of Windows, you receive the following error message: Filename.dll is not an executable file and no registration helper is registered for this file type. CAUSE This behavior occurs because the Regsvr32.exe file in the System32 folder is a 64-bit version. When you run Regsvr32 to register a DLL, you are using the 64-bit version by default. To resolve this issue, run Regsvr32.exe from the %SystemRoot%\Syswow64 folder. For example, type the following commands to register the DLL: cd \windows\syswow64 regsvr32 c:\filename.dll STATUS This behavior is by design. You can register the SonarJaws.dll that Cake Talking uses in the control surfaces dialog box. That will work, smile. Is this with the 32 bit version of Sonar? If not then, this will never work as the .dll that ships with CT will only work with the 32 bit version of Cake Talking in the 32 bit version of Sonar on a 64 bit OS. In other words, Cake Talking won't work with the 64 bit version of Sonar on a 64 bit platform. They will need to recompile the 32 bit .dll for a 64 bit version of Sonar on a 64 bit platform, and they don't own the source code for the .dll so my guess would be that they would have to write a .dll from scratch. As a side note, I am happy to report that we have now obtained the source code for the 32 bit .dll that is part of HotSpotClicker. Vic will be recompiling that for use in the 64 bit version of Sonar and when he does, CT and users of alternative scripts will be able to use HotSpotClicker in the 64 bit version of Sonar which will be very cool indeed!
