Actually, it might be called "split at zero crossings" in sonar. 
Anyway, this is covered in the CakeTalking Tutorial which I 
referred you to yesterday.
That will at least lessen the chance of hearing a click or pop 
where the clip boundaries are.
See lesson 37E 37F and 37G. Actually, you need to read lessons 36 
and 37 thoroughly, while applying the information as you learn to 
your project so it actually sinks in.
