Hi Mike,I used to have NS10's. I used to like playing artist CD's through them. Prince's music from the 90's and beyond sounded amazing on NS10's. It was like he was in the room standing on my little coffee table singing to me.
The perfect pocket sized Pop Star. He maybe tiny but he is still the artist who inspires me the most. I wish I'd still got my NS10's and my little coffee table. Steve W----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Christer" <christer.christer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I'm not familiar with The A E speakers, so I can't comment, as for the NS10m's, I use them all the time, in fact, I haven't used the PMC's in 4 years...The old adage was, that if you can make something sound good on NS10's, it'll sound good on anything!I think I've probably done more recording in the last 30 years on NS10's than anything else!Mind you, it was never a good idea to monitor too loud, they could be very tiring, but I reckon, as a rule, one should never playback at hi-levels, regardless of the genre, or monitors being used...It just flattens your lugz! l8r mike----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Smart" <chris_s@xxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, October 21, 2010 7:50 PM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: Passive Monitors?Hi Mike.Interesting. I've been reading much history on the NS10's. Are you using them most of the time?An updated/improved NS10 design seems to be the Acoustic Energy AE23. Any thoughts on those? From my reading, it seems that the main benefit to the NS10 and similar is that it isn't a ported design, and it's time domain performance is great on say, fast transients.Chris PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
