Did you press ctrl right arrow until you got to the effects tab, then
ctrl down arrow until it said that it was in the thrid state where
parameters would be shown?

Yeah, it's patched all the way to 4.03.  I figured out that the actual 
effect parameters. (for the gate attack, hold, etc) aren't appearing at
all 
in my track inspector view.  This is the actual difference I'm seeing 
between what I'm getting and what you demonstrated over the phone.
