I don't use a braille display, but even easier, simply press the
mute button on the logitech to get speech back (its a toggle switch)

I had the same accident, but what I would suggest you do, as I
myself have done, When you get your audio back, customize JAWS for
either a Braille Lite or Braille Note for your Braille display:
this way you will have a way of navigating to the master volume
control in the program menu under entertainment, because I don't

Is anyone using the logitech wireless keyboards? Along the top,
as with most wireless keyboards, there are a number of
"multimedia" buttons also called "quick launch" buttons that are
programmed to launch things like Internet Explorer, Outlook
Express and so on with a single keypress.
On the logitech, there is a "mute" button to the left of the
Volume+- buttons. I've accidently pressed it a few times since
getting this keyboard and spent hours trying to figure out what
caused my spanking new laptop to suddenly lose speech. This key
checks and unchecks the master mute checkbox in the windows volume
applet. Thanks for the gray hairs Microsoft!
Question: How can I program these keys, or disable them? I can't
find any software that seems to be controlling this special keyboard input.
