Justin:
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I seriously doubt that you will be
able to get the currently supported version of Sibelius which is vers8ion 3
with the sibelius speaking scripts to work with windows vista. There has only
been a small amount of testing with sonar 6 with ct6 under vista. While SOnar
certainly supports it, the few users that have tried it have reported some
issues. And let me add to that the fact that you have a DEL, which tends to
present its own problems. Some Del machines won't even let you install a
different copy of windows on them because they use so much proprietory
hardware. I can only wish you the best. Most companies who build machines
specifically set up for music and high-end audio work are still sying away from
Vista.

Hello, this is sort of off topic, but I purchased a Dell Laptop and wasn't
given an option to get XP on as the operating system. I'm writing to find out
if anyone else has ventured out into the new and unstable world of Windows
Vista and how is that going? I would really like some help in getting this to
work out a little better. I am hoping to get Sibelius and Sonar on this laptop
and am very weary of huge conflicts.
If nobody has any experience with Vista, would anybody have any
suggestions on reinstalling XP on the same laptop on a different partition?
Thanks for any help with this.
