Oh, that's very handy, especially if it has a peek limiter or a good compressor. I think it only has a single multi effects unit for the built-in analog synthesizer. The X-Station isn't really designed to supplement your Sonar rig with more synth or effects power. The synth portion is primarily included so that you can play it and hear some sort of sound when you're not attached to a computer. He uses it as a MIDI controller and portable audio interface, and not so much as a synthesizer. As I understand it, the synthesizer part is just a single voice analog synth. Apparently it is both a keyboard synthesizer and midi controller in one. I believe that it has dedicated knobs for built in effects, menaing that the effects would be ready to go with a touch of the knob and not reliant on drop down menus or follwoing a screen layout. Plus, it has 2 XLR mic inputs and can be battery or USB powered. I love tweaking sounds, effects and knobs in real time. A friend suggested I look into the Novation X-Station so what do you think? Thanks, Stacy.
