Hi, goran here
Not sure if this helps?
1. On my YamahaMotif FX6, there are 2 midi communication options Midi & USB.
If your synth has that option, make sure it's set correctly.
2. also, I have to make sure it's in "Multitimbral mode.
HTH.
Let us know once you fixed the problem, how.
Best wishes
Goran

Subject: [ddots-l] Re: No Sound at Playback on MIDI Track
Is your keyboard selected as the input on the MIDI track and set to omni?
I have had trouble when selecting a specific MIDI channel when setting the
input for that track.

Hi, Everyone.
I'm coming back to Sonar after a little bit of a break. I haven't
changed anything re my set-up. When I open Sonar and the project
template comes up, I can press keys on my Roland and hear sound. My
keyboard is selected as the input and output source. I'm having
trouble with playback--nothing I record on the MIDI track is being
captured. No sound comes through when I try to do a play back, and no
events show up when I look at the track's event view.
What should I look at next to try to solve this?
Thanks,
Dani
