[ddots-l] Re: New synthes I Discovered to Load Presets and Different Banks

MessageThere's not much to it. You just click the library selection with custom
mouse click I just explained in previous email. Instead of just regular mouse
click with Jaws, lock the mouse then unlock it. Then a popup menu will show up.
It's same for selecting groove. You have to lock and unlock. Regardless single
click or double click, it won't do anything.

Banks

I installed Jaws on one of my friends who use a lot of synths I mentioned,
and I find out that I can select preset in different banks. Trick is to not
just click the stuff with jaws mouse but lock the mouse with insert+star and
unlock. Then a menu will pop up to select different banks. Sometimes you click
the text, or sometimes you click the graphics next to the text which you need
to make Jaws to read all graphics not just labeled. This is the same case for
Rmx stylus and ivory. Try this method on other synthes that you were able to
read some of the graphics and text, but weren't able to open popup menus with
simple Jaws mouse click. I think this action is called custom click in HSC in
case if you want to map out some hotspots.
I confirmed Arturia's Arp2600, cs80, minimoog, and moog moduler, Rob
Papen's blue and predator, Linplug's albino, and ReFx's Nexus and Vanguard.
That's some top quality synths list right there.
Of course you can tweak some of the parameters in synth rack, or
inspector pane.

      hi Chi

      haven't tried Albino.
as for Predator , the registry key is a string called "Normal Text" and
the value is "y".
should be put in My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RPCX\Predator.
when you've reached that branch , tab to the list view and put this
string key/value.
      hope this helps
      Roy.

        thanks Roy,
What would be the special registry?
What about Albino? Any luck with that?

          hi Chi

I'm using Blue and Predator by Rob Papen; they're very cooperative
and helpful in terms of accessibility.
both synths have lots of automatable parameters , as well as text
labels and tooltips which , when clicked , pop-up menus or change values.
with Predator , you need to put a special value into the registry to
enable this feature.
          hope this helps
          Roy.

            What the subject says!
Does anyone use synths from Rob Papen or Arturia, or KORG Legacy M1
Collection? How accessible are they?
