[ddots-l] Re: New CakeTalking user needs help!

Mat,

I haven't had my coffee yet, but I would look in the audio clip properties and
see if loop enable or any other feature that looks like a culpret is checked.

Subject: [ddots-l] New CakeTalking user needs help!

Hi, I just installed CakeTalking for Sonar 6.2, and started to use Sonar 6.2
for the first time today.

I was using JSonar with Sonar 5.3 previously., and I loaded in a project
created with Sonar 5 which contains audio data and midi, and noticed a serious
problem with playback immediately with Sonar 6.2 and CakeTalking 6.2!

Sonar 6.2 is automatically timestretching and pitch correcting my audio
content because I never bother to set project pitch and tempo markers when
starting a new project in Sonar 5. I know there is a way to disable Sonar's
ability to automatically repitch and timestretch audio, but there doesn't seem
to be any way to access the relevant toolbar functions or clip dialogues to do
this with CakeTalking. With JSonar one could bring up a list of available
toolbars and press enter on the one required.

Sonar's help file specifically mentions the Follow Project Pitch facility,
and explains how to disable it, but there doesn't appear to be any CakeTalking
shortcuts to allow me to disable this feature!

The Follow Project Pitch feature is really supposed to be used for acid
loops, so that they can automatically be repitched and timestretched to match
the project parameters when they are imported. I really need to disable this!

Does anyone know how to do this?

  Regards,

  Matt
